2005 Carver 38 Super Sport
“Married To The C”
Description
Executive Summary
MARRIED TO THE C is a 2005 Carver 38 Super Sport from the model’s first production year. She has a two-stateroom, split-level layout, a fully enclosed flybridge and a cockpit set up for both swimming and fishing. A shallow 2' 4" draft makes her practical for the ICW, the sounds and coastal cruising.
She is powered by twin Volvo Penta D6 turbocharged diesels with 814 port / 815 starboard indicated hours. At the last sea trial(2024) both engines reached their rated 3,600 RPM at wide-open throttle with no excessive vibration and no oil or coolant leaks noted. Equipment includes a Kohler 8 kW diesel generator, bow thruster, Raymarine C80 chartplotter with radar and autopilot, Maxwell windlass with bridge and foredeck controls, and two Marine Air reverse-cycle A/C and heat units.
Work noted at the 2024 survey includes a recoated bottom, a replaced port trim tab cylinder, new shore power inlets and upgraded mattresses in both staterooms. That survey rated her Above Average condition, with no blisters sighted and no excess moisture found. Since that survey she has received two new Dometic A/C units, turbos, starters, exhaust manifolds, oil coolers, shaft seals, the rudder have been repacked, and fresh bottom paint.

Broker Remarks
MARRIED TO THE C is a 38-foot flybridge cruiser with a 2' 4" draft. Her two Volvo Penta D6 diesels show about 815 hours. She has a bow thruster for close quarters and an enclosed bridge for shoulder-season runs. Her two-stateroom layout suits a couple cruising with guests, and the cockpit livewell, washdown and swim platform cover fishing and beach days.
Her mechanical spec is stronger than many boats in her size range: PYI dripless seals, Racor filtration with a fuel polishing system, an X-Changer oil-change system, Halon engine room suppression and an 8 kW diesel generator. Add the Raymarine radar and autopilot package, reverse-cycle air in the salon and master, and a recoated bottom, and MARRIED TO THE C is a well-equipped way to cruise the coastal waterways and beyond.
