2017 Back Cove 41

Powered by the desirable Cummins 715 hp diesel with approximately 800 hours, she combines the classic lines and craftsmanship of a traditional Downeast yacht with the performance, efficiency, and ease of operation that have made the Back Cove 41 such a sought-after cruising boat.

SCOUT has benefited from attentive ownership and significant recent care. She has been recently Awlgripped, her services are current, and she presents as a clean, well-sorted boat that is turnkey and ready to cruise. She is equipped with all the right options and equipment for comfortable coastal cruising and extended time aboard.

The Back Cove 41 has earned an excellent reputation as a versatile cruising platform. With her single-diesel, shaft-drive propulsion, efficient hull, and straightforward systems, she offers an appealing combination of performance and economical operation. The Cummins 715 gives SCOUT an easy cruising speed in the mid-20-knot range, while allowing her to operate efficiently at lower speeds when desired or when adverse sea conditions dictate.

This versatility has also made the Back Cove 41 an increasingly popular choice for owners considering the Great Loop. Her manageable size, comfortable accommodations, protected helm and salon, excellent visibility, reasonable draft, efficient operation, and ability to cruise comfortably at slower speeds make her equally well suited to the ICW, extended East or West Coast cruising, the Great Lakes, New England, or simply spending weekends aboard.

Back Cove's thoughtful layout provides excellent use of space throughout. The bright salon and helm area create a comfortable place to operate the boat in virtually any weather, while her accommodations below provide the privacy and amenities expected in a serious cruising yacht. Wide side decks, substantial handholds, and a large, well-designed cockpit make moving around the boat straightforward whether underway, docking, or at anchor.

The Back Cove 41 remains one of the most desirable models in the Downeast cruising market, offering a rare balance of traditional styling, modern performance, efficiency, and cruising practicality.

SCOUT represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a clean, well-equipped, recently updated Back Cove 41 without the immediate projects often associated with a pre-owned cruising boat. With approximately 800 hours, current service, a fresh exterior finish, and a strong equipment inventory, she is ready for her next owner and her next cruise.
