2017 Monte Carlo MC5 | Volvo Penta IPS 600 | Freshwater Yacht |

European Design, Freshwater History, and Thoughtful Upgrades

The 2017 Monte Carlo MC5 combines distinctive European styling, intelligent use of space, and Volvo Penta IPS propulsion in a refined 50-foot flybridge motor yacht designed for comfortable cruising.

Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines, this MC5 has been enjoyed exclusively in freshwater and benefits from several significant upgrades completed in 2024. Currently kept in heated indoor storage at Ivy Lea Club in Ontario's Thousand Islands, she offers an appealing combination of relatively low engine hours, practical accommodations, and recent investment in onboard equipment.

For buyers seeking a capable cruising yacht with contemporary design and a desirable ownership history, this MC5 warrants a closer look.

A Yacht Designed for Cruising and Entertaining

The MC5's open-concept main deck and expansive windows create a bright, welcoming interior with an uninterrupted connection to the surrounding water. Its three-cabin, two-head layout offers comfortable accommodations for extended weekends or longer cruising adventures, providing the flexibility to travel with family or welcome guests aboard.

Outdoor living is equally well considered. The spacious flybridge offers an elevated setting for navigating or relaxing, while the aft cockpit provides a natural gathering place close to the water. Together, these areas create versatile spaces for entertaining, dining, and enjoying time at anchor.

At the helm, the twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 propulsion system adds the benefits of modern pod-drive technology, designed for efficient power delivery and responsive handling.

Recent improvements further enhance the ownership experience. New Garmin multifunction displays and radar were installed in spring 2024, while all exterior seating upholstery and Sunbrella covers were replaced the same year. A new house battery was also installed in 2024.

With its freshwater history, heated indoor storage, and service records available upon request, this MC5 offers buyers valuable information when evaluating their next yacht.
